Can someone recommend a good merchant services company for a small business? We are a small business merchant currently using Usight for processing credit card orders that come into our website. We have been quite satisfied with their services until the last few months, when it has become increasingly difficult to process orders or credits on evenings and weekends - and there is no customer service available at those times. When I call during the week, I'm told this is a "known issue" but it has just continued. We're frustrated enough by this to consider switching companies. Can someone recommend a better one?
Need to do research for a work project re: merchant services? I've been tasked with researching the health of the merchant services industry and how to be competitive in it. I am not a good researcher and need some help. Can anyone suggest any business or news sites that can give me the info I need? Thanks!
Can anyone recommend a company for wireless merchant services? I'm just starting a small business and I need to get wireless merchant services. Can someone give me some advise? The machines are expensive and the people I have contacted have offered me to lease the machine for either 24 or 48 months. In addition some of them have more fees then others. Help! Thank you. What I ment is that I need a wireless machine to run credit cards for my business. And I wanted to know if someone can recomend a company where I can get the machine from.
How do you attract merchants to your merchant services website? I have recently started a merchant services company and have used the pay-per-click ads of Google, Yahoo and MSN. I would have to say that the results have been less than impressive. How do you get to your customers? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Matt http://unibulmerchantservices.com
Bank of America Merchant Services rates? Does anyone know if Bank of America has competitive merchant services rates for credit/debit card processing? Their rates aren't posted on their web site but they advertise they have the lowest rates around.
I just found out that I was rejected for merchant services. What if anything can I do to get an approval? I have worked for 6 months building a website for a start up internet business (nothing wacky, but selling a real product). I already know this much, it was something to do with my personal credit, which is horrible. I left my husband a year ago (divorce will be final in January). We had many problems, much of it was financial. I really need to move forward, in order to launch the site next week. Any suggestions? Thank you for your input Thank you for responding. I did not want to go with paypal, because I heard that they can be difficult to communicate with and sometimes don't release funds. Do you know anything about this? Again, thank you.
What are the fees for PayPal Merchant Services? I just switched from personal to business PayPal account, but I'm beginning to think I made a mistake. Are there monthly fees to accept credit cards on eBay through PayPal? Or, are there just % rates for each transaction?
I am looking into selling merchant services? Which is better to sale for a company that primarily leases equipment or a company that wants to give free terminals and just wants to get the account. My goal is to make six figures. Which company would afford me this opportunity first?
Does anyone use propay merchant services? Can you use their services if your entire business is "on the road" with trade shows? I noticed one rule in their contract that might prevent this. Also are they as good as they say they are? Do I need to purchase any credit card processing machine? such as the old "knuckle buster" machine? If not, how do I have a "hard copy" if I am going to process the transaction at home via the internet?
Have you ever sold merchant services? Equip, software, and service for bus to accept credit cards? I'm a recent graduate. It's a tough job market right now. I was offered a job for a company who sells merchant services, basically the hardware software and service to accept credit cards for businesses. They say it's a career sales job but it's a call center environment and the base is only 25k.I have a feeling this may be one of those companies that burn and turn their employees and kind of prey on new grads. This isn't exactly what I was looking for but am open to it if there's decent commissions to make and if its a good business to be in. Have you worked in this industry? What do you think?
merchant services..Anyone been successful with this credit card business? Just curious. I got the package today, and there's a LOT of reading that goes along with it. I would like to hear if anyone has been successful with Merchant Services. Thank you. thanks for your answer. I haven't started yet, but this has to do with lowering business' processing fees every time they use a credit card. this isn't having 'business credit cards'. Thank you.

Merchant Services for online website? I need guidance please! I am starting a small services website that will grow as clients request my service, I will need to accept credit-card and possibly also payments from bank accounts, I was rejected by 2 banks for merchant services because I did not meet their underwriting credit criteria, is there any alternative companies that provide merchant services that are trusthworthy and wont rip me off? I had a bad experience with paypal since they have a lot of nonsense rules that basically gives you no right to control your payments that come in, my website will be legitimate and everything done by the rules. please advise thanks Al
Is Total Merchant Services a legitimate business? Apparently they sell terminals to businesses so that they can accept credit cards as payment. I answered an ad on Craigslist about the position and it's apparently an at-home position where I would be calling 3 different states trying to set appointments and the guy I would be working for, would then do the selling. Apparently whatever he sells, I would get half of. I apparently also have to obtain a business license and in doing so, I would then be able to hire my own employees. Is this legitimate? Does anyone have any information on Total Merchant Services? It sounds almost too good to be true and seems slightly scammish but perhaps I'm just paranoid. Any info would be great!
Can I charge a customer a merchant service credit card fee on top of their invoice? Our customers rarely use credit cards as a form of payment. It's usually a check via mail. But a few do use a Visa or MasterCard once in a blue moon. We are charged 2.75% from our bank for the the total of the credit card purchase. At the time of the credit card transaction can I add the standard percentage on top of the invoice amount? Am I legally allowed to do so? Also, am I legally allowed to markup the 2.75% we are charged on our merchant statement?

Christians: Does a Merchant's inadvertent use of 666 within their Phone # cause you to NOT use their services? Christians, this IS a serious Question. I am referring to a situation where you are seeking the services of a Merchant (a Service Provider, Salesman, Repairman, etc.) via a Billboard advertisement, business vehicle advertisement, and/or the Yellow Pages, and note that the merchant's Business telephone # contains the numbers "666", probably issued inadvertently & innocently by the Telephone Company. DOES this in any way influence your decision to use or NOT to use the merchant's services ? I will appreciate your answering this Question honestly & seriously, as I am engaged in a debate concerning this very issue with a business associate.
Paypal merchant account services? Does anyone have personal business experience with paypal? I have heard mixed reviews, but am searching for a reliable and CHEAP merchant account for my yahoo internet business.

Dear God, What merchant transaction service is safe for my online business? I have read the worse of the worse stories about Paypal, Authorize.net and a few other merchant services. Where can I find a low-risk online merchant service with maximum credibility and hopefully one that is local to North Carolina. (if not then which ever) Go here and read a little and you will have what's call paypalarigitous, which is a growing disease http://www.paypalsucks.com/
Are their alternative merchant services besides Paypal? I don't have a bank account but would like to sell my product online. I do not want too use paypal or any other service that requires me having a bank account to sign up. I just want to find a service that will collect the money from my customers via credit card and cut me a check. Any ideas?
