Can I cancel a contract with a merchant services provider?

I just signed a contract yesterday for a merchant service account. I have now changed my mind and want to cancel. I have not even used their services yet and have not charged any credit cards using their service.

1. Call the vendor and tell them you changed your mind. If they provided you with any equipment, you'll have to return it. You might also have to pay an early termination penalty if the contract provides for that. Any account setup fees are likely to be non-refundable, as they did do the work of setting up your account in their systems, and they still have to pay the employees who did that.
2. I think it is not a problem to cancel any service, especially if you havn't paid anything yet. The question is what service and why...
